How did this happen?

The Cyclone Release was a Finalist in the 2021 Blue Moon Novel Competition hosted by Madville Publishing, a small Texas publisher with a strong catalog of fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction titles. The distinction, I was pleased to learn, came with a publishing contract, which I signed in June 2021.
