Hiatus

Next week, I’ll celebrate another trip around the sun, joined this year by my Aunt Monessa, who was born on the same date 27 years before me. The next day, as a birthday gift to myself, Caroline and I will leap into the breach of our first post-pandemic international journey.

At the persistent behest of Caroline’s brother Daniel, who spent 3-1/2 years living and working in Singapore, we’re off on an extensive trip to Asia: Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Siem Reap, Cambodia. Whether I find myself inspired while lying in a mosquito tent on a sultry night in Cambodia, or just reflecting through jet lag on our return, you can look forward to some (hopefully tame) tales of the journey in my next newsletter.

Meet Me in the Wine Country
